Charming Travelers - Charm Swap Giveaway CLOSED

Winner is Kelli!

I was chosen to receive the Charming Travelers Charm Swap by From Blank Pages.  I picked out some fun prints I think would look lovely in the cathedral quilt I plan to make someday and put in some of my favorite scraps.  So now I get to have my first giveaway to find out who gets it next!

She has a few rules:

  • winners must be active bloggers
  • you must reside in the US
  • before sending the charm pack off to the next winner, there must be 56 - 5" x 5" squares of fabric inside - please no yucky fabrics
  • to help keep the map updated, winners will fill out the quick and easy form to let me know where you are!
  • if the charm pack arrives full of unwanted charms, let me know and we'll clear it out and fill it back up with some more beautiful fabrics!

  • To enter just leave a comment telling me how you manage or organize your scraps.  Mine are out of control!  I'll pick a winner by random on May 11, 2013.

    3. To anyone else...my fabric scraps are far from organized! The look like a hurricane struck. However, when the fabrics are fluffed...I can access them easily. I keep them in 3 covered laundry baskets! I am an active blogger!

    10. I have a horrible scrap organization method...I toss them in a huge bin and tuck them away in a drawer. I want to separate them by size & color, but of course there are better things to do...like start that new project on my to-sew list!

    12. I don't have a good solution for scraps. I have been making EPP hexagons, but there are still a lot of scraps hanging around.

    13. By color, and I think it needs further refining!

    14. I sort my scraps into strings for string blocks and cut the rest into pre-cut sizes so they are ready for use.

    15. My scraps aren't really organized at all. I have a few bins and try to sort them according to size - one for larger scraps, one for large strips, and then I have a diaper wipe container that I keep all my little little scraps, in case a piece is big enough for something being paper-pieced or to later be used for stuffing.

    18. I have two daughters that love sewing so any scraps I have get passed along to them and they have a way of taking care of them.

    19. My scraps used to be organized by color and style of fabric (basically one box with batiks and one box with christmas and one box with everything else) but after making a lot of scrappy projects lately, my boxes are so disorganized!
